| Blah, Blah, Blah |
I have had a great time over the years gathering inspiration and material. I am inspired to create images by observations made in nature . Most of my Photo's have been taken on my explorations in and around the National parks in California, Montana and Wyoming. I love to be outside and frequently will be found hiking in the National parks. Although in recent years, I have been primarily a painter, I recently decided to include many of my photo's in my body of work. |
| Originally Many of my photographs were taken to be studies to paint from, I feel they are beautiful stand alone piece's themselves. So I have doubled my potential body of work. I am influenced by the expressionist/impressionist school and I love colour and texture. I frequently use a palette knife even where most would not, for example on a small canvas. Some of my canvases are of unusual size . Many are quite large. Primarily my photographs, since 2002, are high quality digital. In 2009 I purchased my first 12.2 MPX camera and Have been using it to create even better images. Many of My Images are Currently available On Artist Rising, Art.com and Amazon.com |
I feel that Art speaks for it self and each person brings to the work their own perspective and experiences. I don't tell the viewer what to think or feel about my work. I feel that art has it's own life and narrative . |
